86. Gangara thyrsis thyrsis (The Giant Redeye)

There are 4 species in the genus Gangara, all of which are Oriental in distribution. Two are recorded from Vietnam viz. thyrsis and lebadea.
Gangara thyrsis is distributed from India and Sri Lanka to south China, and south across peninsular Malaysia to Sumatra, Borneo, Palawan and Sulawesi.
